What is the difference between SCADA and MES, and do we need both?+

SCADA gives you real-time visibility and control of equipment; MES tracks what’s produced against orders, recipes and quality specs over time. Most plants need both — many run them as one connected Ignition platform rather than two separate systems.

Can you build on our existing Ignition or PLC investment?+

Yes. Most engagements start from an existing tag base, PLC fleet or partial SCADA install. We extend and re-architect rather than rip out working infrastructure wherever it’s sound.

How long does a typical Ignition or MES deployment take?+

A first working phase — core screens, alarming, and one production line on MES — typically lands in 8–14 weeks. Full multi-site rollouts are phased over quarters, not committed as one large build.

Do you support ongoing operations, not just delivery?+

Yes. Engagements include a support model after go-live — monitoring, patching and iteration — so the platform keeps working as lines, sites and reporting needs change.

Do you work with our existing PLC and ERP vendors?+

Yes. Ignition connects to virtually any PLC over OPC-UA and to SAP, Oracle, Dynamics and most other ERPs over SQL or REST — we integrate with what you run rather than asking you to replace it.
